Pre-Quit Day 5: It's All About Consistency!

A wise person once told me Consistency is key! That person was right because consistency will get you there. It might take a lot of time but eventually, you'll be able to get there. You're probably asking yourself but, she's writing about all of the times she's failed. Why is she qualified to tell us how to quit smoking if she hasn't been able to quit smoking? I'm not qualified, that's the truth. However, I'm trying to be consistent with this final quit. That's what I'm trying to do. Now that I'm 2 days away from my quit day, it's all hands on deck. This means I'm going to be consistent and I am going to make sure this sticks this time.

Pre-Quit Day 5: It's All About Consistency!

How am I being consistent with my quit? The answer to this is I'm treating myself as a person who doesn't want to smoke. I usually treat myself as a person who smokes, and during the last couple of quit attempts, I never kept at it. Today, I'm keeping up with telling myself, I'm going to do it. I will do it, I will make it fun for myself and I will work on being a Smoke-Free person. What helped me stay consistent with journalling was to make it fun and challenging for myself. That's what I am going to do with quitting cigarettes. I'm going to make it fun and Challenging, and that will help me to be consistent with quitting. This is why the day I quit smoking, I will be challenging myself to quit but with a fun twist.
You see, when we aren't consistent with something like a bad habit for instance, you'll revert back to the habit in which you are trying to quit. This is why we need to be consistent and committed to doing things that will be good for you, or your goal. If something is "too hard" and you think that thing is "too hard" then you won't want to do it. However, if you think positively about quitting, you will be consistent and you will eventually succeed. The proof is in the pudding.
I want you to remember that you can do this, as I know that I can do this too. Smoking may be a bad habit to kick, and is hard but, I know that you can quit smoking. It takes a lot of time, effort, and a good attitude to kick the habit. You can also make it fun and very rewarding when you get to where you want to be. I know this for a fact.
